Fabulous Fur Pet Salon Policies

All clients who choose to visit us are expected to respect our salon policies

Your pet is very important to us at Fabulous Fur Pet Salon. Every effort will be made to make your pet’s grooming experience as safe and pleasant as possible. Safety comes first for everyone during the grooming process, including people and pets.

Health or Medical Problems:

Occasionally grooming can expose a hidden medical problem or aggravate a current one. This can occur during or after grooming. All medical expenses for veterinary care will be covered by the animal’s owner upon signing this agreement.

If we feel we can not safely handle your dog due to age or medical condition, we will refer you to your veterinarian to seek grooming services.

Accidents:

Although accidents are rare, there is a risk when handling pets. All our groomers use extreme caution and care in all situations. However, grooming equipment is sharp and possible unintentional accidents can occur, including (but not limited to) cuts, nicks, scratches, or quicking of the nails. In most cases this can happen when a pet is wiggling or moving around. Your pet’s safety is our number one priority. If an accident does occur you will be notified. If Fabulous Fur feels it is an accident that requires veterinary attention and the pet owner is off site, we will seek immediate Veterinary Care for your animal.

Current Vaccinations

All dogs being serviced in our salon must be current on their rabies vaccination and provide documentation of such. Puppies must have received a complete 3 rounds of shots before receiving grooming services.

Cancellations/No Call-No Show

Because of scheduling constraints, cancellations or reschedules must be made at least 24 business hours in advance or a $20.00 fee will apply per dog. If you do not call to cancel and do not show up for your appointment, this is considered a “no call-no show” and a $30.00 fee per dog will be applied and must be paid before rescheduling an appointment.

Drop Off/PickUp

Dogs arriving more than 15 minutes late for their scheduled appointment may be asked to reschedule the appointment. All dogs must be picked up no later than closing business hours (M-F 5:30 p.m., Sat 5:00 p.m.). There will be a fee for dogs picked up after closing. Dogs that are left in our care before or after their scheduled appointment is completed may be subject to an extra fee depending on the size of the dog and the length of time left in our care.

Fleas

If your dog is found to have fleas, they will be given a flea bath and a fee of $12.00 will be added to your groom fee.

Matted Coats

Pets with severely matted coats require extra attention. Fabulous Fur Pet Salon will not cause serious or undue stress to your pet by de-matting excessively matted coats and may require the pet to be shaved. Any pet that requires dematting (brushing or shave down) will be subject to an extra dematting fee that is at the discretion of the groomer.

Dangerous or Aggressive Animals - Refusal of Services

Fabulous Fur Pet Salon has the right to refuse services at any time. In the event that your pet is too stressed or becomes dangerous to groom, Fabulous Fur has the right to refuse services, stop grooming services, or cancel services at any time before, during, or after grooming. If the dog is left at the salon and is too aggressive to be groomed, you will be required to pick up your dog. If the dog bites the groomer or another staff member there will be a $10.00 aggressive dog fee.

Special Handling Fee

If your dog requires a second handler to be safely groomed, a fee of $10.00 or more will apply.

Satisfaction

Your satisfaction is important to us. If you are unhappy for any reason, and would like something adjusted, we will be happy to make any adjustments when you pick up your pet from his/her appointment. If, once you get home, you decide you would like something adjusted, please call us and we will make arrangements. You must call us and bring in your pet within 1 week of their appointment, otherwise a new appointment should be made.
